Thank you for accepting a place for your child to begin school here in September 2023. 

Starting school is a big step and it can be a nervous time for both the child and parents. Please be reassured that we really want to get to know you and your child, and we will do everything we can to make this transition into school a positive experience for everyone. 

Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be sharing information with you, visiting Nurseries and holding Stay and Play sessions.  

We have created this specific area of the website so you can have continual access to information. We have already included some helpful ideas for getting ready for school, but as information is sent out to you, we will also update this area of the website with the information. As mentioned previously, the teachers in the Reception team are beginning the process of contacting Nursery settings to arrange visits to your child’s current provider. During these visits teachers will talk to the children’s key workers about their likes, strengths and areas for development so that they can start to plan ideas accordingly. 

We look forward to meeting you and your child, and we will do everything we can to work with you, your children and our Reception team to ensure that the transition into school is a great success.
