Covid-19 Testing

Covid-19 symptoms in children

If your child has any symptoms of Covid (continuous cough, warm to the touch, loss/change to sense of smell/taste) it is advised that they do not attend school and a PCR test should be arranged (either by booking an appointment online at a testing centre or ordering a home testing kit if you do not have access to transport).

Procedures: - Updated 24/2/22

Government Advice

  • Book a PCR test/order a home testing kit.
  • When the results are received, (either positive or negative) send evidence of the test results to the admin email address. We need to see evidence of the positive test in order to authorise your child's absence.
  • If the results are positive, it is advised that your child self-isolates. An LFD can be taken on day 5 and day 6 of the isolation period. If they both come back negative, your child may leave isolation after 5 FULL DAYS of isolation on day 6.
  • If your child tests positive on an LFD, a photograph of the LFD must be sent to the office email address in order to authorise your child's absence.
