Skegness
Infant Academy

About Us

Welcome to Skegness Infant Academy! I am Rona Pryme and as Executive Principal my aim is to ensure we provide a great education for children aged between the ages of 3 and 7 years of age. At the Academy, we believe there are no boundaries to what each child can achieve, and we aim to work hard as a team, in partnership with you, to ensure each child reaches their full potential. What you want for your child is what we want.

As I work across both the Infant and Junior Academies, part of my role is to ensure continuity and consistency across both sites. By working together we can ensure all children achieve their potential, enjoy their time in both academies, make excellent progress and leave us equipped with the necessary skills for the next stage in their learning journeys and in order to lead successful and fulfilling lives. As time progresses, we will be taking advantage of opportunities to collaborate across the two sites to build even closer ties between our staff, children, parents and carers

I am determined that both academies build on their legacy of success and continue to flourish. We are lucky to have a highly-skilled, committed team on both sites who strive for the utmost success for our children and who have a caring and supportive ethos at their core. Both academies are unique and I feel privileged to be leading them forward with your support and that of my two Heads of School, Mr Jacklin and Mrs Lewis-Bettison.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries, concerns or if there is anything I can do to help and support you with your child’s learning and school life.

I would like to thank you for your continued commitment and support towards the staff and pupils of both academies and I look forward to our future work together,

Kind regards

Mrs R Pryme

Executive Principal

Further information about us

Our academy focuses firmly on friendships, and we work hard to reinforce positive relationships between children. By supporting Anti- bullying week each year and through our values approach to assemblies, we are able to create and maintain a calm, purposeful environment that encourages a lifelong love of learning.

We are committed to the highest of standards and expect outstanding levels of achievement in all areas of academic and personal development, including excellent behaviour.

We promote high quality learning as an entitlement for all pupils and offer exciting learning environments that enrich and stimulate pupils’ learning.

As an inclusive school, we will generate among all learners an appreciation of the local community and the wider world leading to a clear sense of global citizenship.

Individual pupils will develop a sense of personal responsibility so that they can make a full contribution to their learning and to the community. We will continue to raise aspirations and actively challenge low expectations.

We will establish positive learning partnerships with parents and the local community and provide strong and effective welfare and guidance services, with individual mentoring, to support pupils’ academic progress and all-round development.

We offer high-quality curriculum opportunities through innovative approaches to learning and work with other education establishments to provide a full range of opportunities to meet our pupils’ needs.

The Skegness Infant Academy is sponsored by the Greenwood Academies Trust who currently has 37 open academies educating over 18,000 pupils across seven local authority areas including Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Leicester City, West Northamptonshire, North Northamptonshire, Peterborough and Lincolnshire.
